About Jeff Doyle - Photographer & Artist

My name is Jeff Doyle. I am a self-taught fine art landscape photographer specializing in capturing the fleeting image in time that nature briefly reveals to us. A moment that will never occur exactly that way in that place again. From my days in high school learning how to capture and develop images with a film camera and darkroom, I have learned how important it is to be in that moment, to capture those special gifts of nature. Hopefully, my efforts will allow me to transport my audience to places they have never been before or to experience them in new ways.

Born in New England, currently living in Chicago, my portfolio includes images from the Atlantic Coast to the southwest desert and the Pacific Coast. My work has won several awards including two honorable mentions in the ND Landscape awards, and has been featured in galleries across the country. My work is available in several different mediums using high quality printing and mounting.

In college I studied to be a mechanical engineer. I learned to be analytical while, at the same time, stretching my brain to be creative in my problem solving. Gradually, I found those creative problem solving skills useful in visualizing the world in new ways and those technical skills useful in bringing my creations to life on the computer. I learned to create an image and incorporate my emotional reaction to it: a visual dialogue. My passion for photography has taken me to places that I would never have visited otherwise. From early mornings hiking along the Oregon Coast waiting for the sun to rise, to late nights waiting for the Milky Way to rise in the desert, I’ve experienced places for myself, captured them on film and every minute has been very special.

I am available to answer any questions you might have and can be reached via email. Thank you for your interest in my work, and if you enjoy my images please consider sharing with friends and family.
