Choosing a Fine Art Photography Print Medium
I offer my fine art photography in three print mediums: Lumachrome TruLife® acrylic, ChromaLuxe metal, and archival cotton rag fine art paper. Acrylic offers luminous depth and a frameless presentation, metal emphasizes saturation and durability, while cotton rag paper provides a softer, more traditional fine-art surface. The right choice depends on the photograph, lighting, room, and the way you want the finished piece to feel.
There is nothing quite like seeing a fine art photograph come to life as a physical print. While images may look beautiful on a screen, a large-format print offers a completely different experience, one where you can slow down, explore the subtle textures, and feel as though you could step directly into the scene.

Limited Edition Prints
Every print is part of an edition capped at 100 total prints per image across all sizes and mediums. Each is signed and numbered and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Once an edition is complete, it is permanently retired. Acrylic vs Metal vs Fine Art Paper Prints
Each material handles light, color, and texture differently. This is the short version, and the detailed breakdowns follow below.
Acrylic is my choice when luminosity, depth, and a polished frameless presentation matter most. Metal is stronger for bold color, durability, lower-maintenance installations, and many commercial spaces. Cotton rag paper offers the most traditional fine-art presentation, with a tactile surface and subtle rendering that works especially well with atmospheric images.
Lumachrome Acrylic Prints
Vibrant. Luminous. A Gallery-Level Statement
This is the format I recommend most often for statement installations including large walls, reception areas, and spaces where the photograph needs to hold presence at a distance and draw you in up close.
Each print begins with an archival Lumachrome photographic print, selected for its exceptional color accuracy, resolution, and tonal depth. This print is then face-mounted to a 1/8" sheet of TruLife® acrylic, a premium optical acrylic engineered for clarity and accurate light transmission. Behind the artwork, a rigid 1/8" acrylic backer is added for stability, and a rear float mount system allows the finished piece to appear suspended from the wall.
Unlike traditional glazing, TruLife® acrylic is designed to enhance clarity while reducing distracting reflections. Because acrylic refracts and transmits light differently than glass, the artwork takes on a luminous, almost three-dimensional appearance, making fine details, tonal transitions, and color depth feel incredibly lifelike.
The finished piece is an exhibition-quality work of art—bright, clean, and visually immersive. Every print arrives ready to hang, with no matting or framing required. Simply remove it from the protective shipping container and place it directly on your wall.

Metal Prints - Bold and Contemporary
Bold. Sleek. Ready to Hang
Metal is my default recommendation for most commercial and office installations because it holds up to real-world conditions better than any other format. Durable, moisture-resistant, easy to maintain, and visually strong even in lower-light environments.
These prints are lightweight, moisture-resistant, and easy to maintain, which makes them ideal for contemporary homes, offices, kitchens, and commercial spaces.
Made from a lightweight aluminum panel that is finished with a precision-engineered, multi-layer polymer coating, the image is then infused directly into that coating through dye sublimation. Nothing sits on top of the surface. The photograph lives inside a sealed, non-porous layer, which is why these panels resist scratching, moisture, and fading in ways that surface-printed materials cannot.
Visually, metal gives you the deepest saturation and the highest contrast of the three formats. Bold color and strong graphic compositions gain real force on it. Red rock, autumn foliage, and dramatic skies are where I reach for metal first.
Each print arrives ready to hang with a 3/4" inset frame and a French cleat, so the panel appears to float away from the wall. All hardware is included and no framing is required.

Cotton Rag Prints with Mat - Classic and Elegant
Classic. Textured. Archival Elegance
Fine art paper is where most serious collecting starts, and for good reason. A well-made cotton rag print has a quality of surface and shadow detail that the more contemporary formats approach differently rather than exceed. For atmospheric landscapes such as mist, snow, early light, or quiet gradients, the softness of a baryta-style paper is hard to replicate.
These are the only prints I make myself. Cotton rag work is printed in-house in my own studio on two papers: Canson Infinity Platine Fibre Rag and Moab Juniper Baryta Rag. Both are 100% cotton, both are free of optical brighteners, and each brings something different. I choose between them image by image based on how the tonal range sits and how deep the blacks need to go. Printing my own paper means I control the profile, the proof, and the final inspection, and nothing ships until I have looked at it under proper light.
Each print is matted using acid-free museum materials and ships flat, ready to frame in your choice of style. The mat width is generous by default, two to three inches, because a well-matted print deserves the room.
Paper is also the format closest to how landscape photography has been collected and displayed for most of the medium’s history. There’s a reason galleries default to it. It keeps the focus on the photograph itself.

All prints are made to order. Select your image, size, and preferred print medium from the gallery, then complete checkout securely. Most pieces are produced within approximately 2–3 weeks, with additional time possible for large-format or custom work. Shipping is included for most standard-size prints within the United States.
